I will correct any misunderstandings about this song! First, It was written by ” Wayne Carson” and recorded in 1967 by the “Box Tops” and Later by “Joe Cocker”, the song is not by Jefferson Airplane not with standing any recording they may have made at some point! hope this helps you.
