I always search travelocity & orbitz. It will give you plenty of different airlines with about five different dates to give you the cheapest flights.

It all depends on where you're coming from. If you're coming from the west coast, I highly suggest http://www.hawaiianair.com, as they're usually much cheaper than mainland airlines. If you're coming from somewhere midwest, or east coast, you can still save a couple hundred dollars by booking separately a cheap flight or bus ride to an airport that Hawaiian Air flies out of. If you put where you're coming from, I can help you do some research.

EDIT: Perfect! Hawaiian Air flies out of both those locations. I've found $340.26 as the cheapest roundtrip from both San Fransisco and Oakland ($160 one-way, total price includes taxes), and those are the cheapest out of Cali. Good Luck, hope this helps. And if you plan on flying to Hawaii in the future, sign up for their Hawaiian Miles program, you'll be off to a great start and may even get a discount. It's free, no credit card required, and you can also sign up for their Unadvertised Low Fares email newsletter, where you can get roundtrips to the mainland as low as $250.

Travelocity and Orbitz price is $347.23 on Hawaiian Air. It's cheaper and more reliable to book through the direct airline (do it online!), and Hawaiian Airlines was #1 in customer service ^.^

You can check out the travel websites such as http://www.orbitz.com or http://www.expedia.com. You can also look at the airline websites or http://www.airfarewatchdog.com. Without listing what city you are flying from and where you want to go, it is harder to help you.

Have you considered fund raising? Have you asked local service clubs, your church, relatives, garage sale…fund raising for a good cause can work wonders and ease financial burdens.

As far as good deals go—if you are extremely flexible, the day of, there are canceled flights, and people who don't show and bumped flights, etc. or if you could somehow go with a group—buying tickets through a travel agency is cheaper as a group.

Okay, so bake sales and just last minute miracle deals aside have you searched out travel agencies that specialize in student travel low fares? Maybe travel as an au pair with a family—watch their children and they pay airfare? Just check out "deals" and don't fall for too good to be true. Often truth is just plain a BIG BILL. Good Luck! Happy travels in Japan.

to bad insane gas prices are making cheap tickets hard to find, 2 years ago i could buy a round trip ticket from Dallas to Seoul Korea or Tokyo for 800ish bucks, now its doubled in that time :(

try looking in Yahoo for Toronto airports, then see what airlines serve the airport, and what airlines go to Havana

FYI–don't fly Cubana; I've heard their service sucks
