How Do You Find The Cheapest Ticket To Europe?

How Do You Find The Cheapest Ticket To Europe?

Everybody would love to go to Europe at some point, during a holiday of course. Another obvious part of this plan is that everyone would love to save as much money as possible on a trip like this. The question is, how do you find the cheapest ticket to Europe?

Many travel agencies setup a complete package that includes much more than just the airfare. You should look at strictly the airline tickets first. These will usually be cheaper than the prices posted on an airlines website. After the travel agencies that offer special transatlantic deals, just go the same route you would looking for any cheap airfare. Find the airline that gives the lowest price. Be sure to check out Travelocity and other similar websites to compare all the rates on one page.

Some travel sites have a specialized search that allow you to chart the cheapest fares. Use these to find the best deal. After you have searched all the online websites and used all their tools, write down the cheapest prices that you have found and contact agencies that do not have an online presence. See if they can beat any of the prices you tell them.

For travelers to Europe that can not plan in advance there is the good proven stand by system to make for the cheapest airfares. In the happening of a cancellations the airline is eager to fill that empty. In this event, there will be a very good chance that you may get the seat at a very reduced rate. This is because to the fact that the airlines need to make sure that they have as many passengers on each flight as possible to make sure that there is profit to mandate the flight. Of course there is a possibility that you can not be able to manage the flight if there are no cancellations. Also the reality is that you need to be in the terminal ready and waiting for the cancellations. This can mean very long waiting actually.

There is one final place to check. Priceline.com is a website where you can put a price that you decide to see if they accept it. Put a price that is at least 15 percent under the best price that you have discovered so far. If you get this to work you will most likely have found the best price to fly to Europe, hands down.

If you do not have much luck, try it out with foreign airlines that go over most of Europe to reach their final destination. These will often have many seats available and will be sold at a lower price than usual as they skip through the America.

Airfare- I don't know when you're planning to travel, but the farther in advance you book your flights, the cheaper it will be. In other words, airfares NEVER get cheaper as the departure date nears.

Accommodations- Your best bet are Bed & Breakfasts. Go to your local bookstore and find the travel section. Pick out books with your chosen countries that are specifically on B&Bs. They're great, quaint, and give you a TRUE feel for the country. I've stayed in them all over Europe and I've never been disappointed. They're also cheap!

Interstate Traveling- Trains or buses will be your best bets. I don't recommend hitchhiking. Get a monthly pass for EURail… it goes everywhere in Europe and you only pay one initial fee when you buy the pass that's good for a month.

Food- Just because it's small doesn't mean it's cheap, the best thing to do is buy a book that gives you all the restaurants in that country with ratings as to how cheap or expensive they are… it's handy, trust me.

Don't forget- Try to pre-purchase what you can WAY before your trip so you pay for as much as you can while the Euro is cheaper than it will be when you finally travel.

    Best of luck!

Priceline USA does not do foreign-originating ticketing; Priceline.de only does hotels, so Priceline won't work this time.

Lowest published fares on BER-DFW, starting at €280 return: http://www.farecompare.com/search/year.html?departure=BER&destination=DFW&p=1

First safety in Europe, do not hitchhike.

If you are not used to hitch hiking, do not do it, as you can not judge the risks. On the other hand, if you are used to hitch hiking in your home area or Asia, you still can not really understand what it will be in Europe.
If you do not have enough money to pay for bus or train tickets, do not travel around or do not come. It is not worth the risks just to be able to say that you have been in several different countries.

For the flight, now is the time to buy, but do check several sites that compare different airline and also look at the sites of the airlines themselves, often the best offers for an airline are on their own site.

    295 DUB-EWR Continental
    297 DUS-JFK LTU
    315 FCO-JFK Eurofly

If your'e not in Ireland, near Dusseldorf, or near Rome, then using Ryanair or Aer Lingus to get to Dublin or Shannon for these one-ways to NYC is probably the cheapest overall travel you'll get.

Best and cheapest to book direct from the airline.

Try http://www.airfarewatchdog. com they have amazing fares and can email you when the destination you want comes up.

    Good luck!!

also, try and fly out on a tuesday or wednesday, early in the morning and be flexible with your dates of travel if you can, this can reduce your fare by hundreds of dollars sometimes.

HI, there are many sites to find travel tix online. I would compare them all and def watch for the taxes and additional fees they add when you go to book. Here are a few sites to check.

    http://www.travelocity.com
    http://www.expedia.com
    http://www.qixo.com
    http://www.yapta.com
    http://www.kayak.com

After you find a fare on one of these sites then go to the airline directly to see if the carrier offers it cheaper to book with them. Keep in mind you want to tally your frequent flier miles so after you book go and register for your FF acount with that airline.
